Cancer Scare – Nothing to Worry About

I was booked in for an MRI scan at UHCW in early January 2022 to have a look at the lump on my lower neck / clavicle.

I was initially worried it was related to my jaw cancer from 2018 but was told by my consultant it was unlikely, probably nothing to worry about but the MRI was more for peace of mind than anything else.

I went for my scan, everything was running like clockwork and received the result within a fortnight.

As my consultant had suggested, it was nothing bad and probably just a built up of fat and muscle 🙂

I was now only on 6 monthly check-ups with my consultant and oncologist which I was now treating like days out and if the timing was right would stop off at a pub for a bite to eat on the way home.

All a bit boring for my cancer story but I rather like that 🙂
